Description
STOS Sound Track Orchestra ft Silvy
Rayo production 1984
Tragically rare (ungoogleable) but excellent EP, and possibly the ONLY Surinamese library record? The Sound Track Orchestra was created with the purpose of recording music for Surinamese tv productions. Now Suriname is a small country (not an island, so technically no 'island boogie') with less than half a million inhabitants, and the TV market in the early 80s was not huge so that probably meant the end of it for STOS. This particular copy ended up in Holland.
The 12 inch we have here is a KILLER boogie & funk modern soul 12 inch with lead vocals by the young Silvy Singoredjo. Check out the snippets below.
This is the 1st time for this 12 inch to show up on Ebay and it may be the last, so if you feel like owning a unique record then snatch this up while it lasts.
