Description

ST. LOUIS SWINGSTERS  Mamotswari/Rupert Special  South African Winner OK 057  c1960  E+   a last gasp from Bloemfontein's big band scene, recorded on location - sounds like three or four saxes and maybe three brass with lots of riffing - the a side starts out with a nice vocal chorus from the band with two trumpet solos, one muted and the other open (two different players or the same man?) - the b side has one open trumpet solo
