Description

This is part of a large auction featuring Vee-Jay/King/Federal labels. Lots of cool blues, R&B and doo-wop here, with some bonus listings as always. Check back in a couple of weeks for a small label R&B auction.

Release: The Robins – The Hatchet Man / I Must Be Dreamin 


Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1955


Notes: Red label original first pressing. Mid-career single by this Los Angeles group, whose members would go on to form The Coasters. A-side is a solid doo-wop track with great vocals. B-side is more of a danceable R&B track.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are super-clean with no tears/stickers/writing. This is a top notch copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, outer sleeve is blank, but I believe it's original. Has some light wrinkling and a tear up from the label hole. Not perfect condition, but displays nicely on one side.
