The Seller is the Original Owner and received this LP as a promotional copy from the label at the time of its release. 

The red vinyl disc was visually inspected and appears to be in NM condition.  The disc has rare non-standard WHITE LABELS used on albums destined for radio DJs, record stores/buyers, and media personnel to promote a new release.  These are typically first pressing copies, which are coveted by collectors.  The wording DEMONSTRATION-NOT FOR SALE is printed on each label and stamped on the cover.

The cover is in VG+ condition, with minimal shelf wear.  It has a gold promo stamp on one side.  It has the original full color inner sleeve, which has no seam splits. It is a glossy paper sleeve that features the cover images, and song lyrics/credits on the other side.  Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  Sparks is an American pop and rock duo formed by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals) in Los Angeles. The duo is noted for their quirky approach to songwriting; their music is often accompanied by sophisticated and acerbic lyrics, often about women, and sometimes containing literary references, and an idiosyncratic, theatrical stage presence. Their frequently changing styles and visual presentations have kept the band at the forefront of modern, artful pop music.

“Introducing Sparks” is the seventh album by the band Sparks, released in 1977 by Columbia Records. For sale here, is a rare promotional copy on translucent red vinyl.  The seller is the original owner and has never played the record.

Apart from its initial release in 1977 “Introducing Sparks” was unavailable for many years. This was in part because Columbia Records held the rights. This was rectified in November 2007, when the album was officially re-released on CD on Sparks' own record label. However, the CD was not remastered from the original studio master tapes owned by Sony, but was mastered from a vinyl LP because of rights issues preventing access to the original masters.  The vinyl LP for sale here is a first pressing from the original masters.

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. The collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983, 39 years!  Please check back occasionally to see my new listings. I add approx. 25–50 new LPs per week.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

 VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30. Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping could occur if vinyl records are exposed to heat and direct sunlight, so please make adequate arrangements to safely receive your packages.  If Buyer prefers a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
