Description

This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Release: Sonny Knight with the Bumps Blackwell Band - Keep A Walkin' / Baby Don't Want Me

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1955


Notes: White & yellow label first pressing. Early single by a singer who would have a hit just the next year. This one is pretty straightforward R&B with some doo-wop elements. Like a lot of these tracks, has a fantastic sax interlude as well. Pure 1950's right here.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl itself is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels have some scuffing and some dirtiness. If you were super-picky I think you could bump this to VG, but due to playability I think it just jumps over the VG+ bar. 


Sleeve Condition: VG, Original outer sleeve has some light wrinkles and a small pencil number on the back, but no tears or splits. Decent shape overall.
