Description

This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Release: The Swan Silvertone Singers - He Won't Deny Me / Man in Jerusalem

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1953


Notes: White & yellow original first pressing on red vinyl. Early single by this famed gospel group. Classic 50's gospel sound on this with elements of doo-wop, R&B and soul. Many Specialty records 45's had a red vinyl version produced  and this was one of them, they are all pretty tough to find.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in really shape with no real damage, but does have some light hazing due to liquid exposure. Plays and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are dirty with some discoloration (again from liquid exposure) no tearing/stickers though. This is a nice playable copy that sounds better than it looks.
