Description
Spike Hughes and His Dance Orchestra play two good tunes, "Without A Song" and "The Way I Feel To-Day," on Decca F 2193. "Without A Song" has impassioned solos by Jock Fleming, Phlip Buchel and Norman Payne. It's a small masterpiece. The other side is good too. Norman Payne, Arthur Niblo (tp); Jock Fleming (tb); Harry Hines (cl,bar); Philip Buchel (as); George Hurley (vln); Eddie Carroll (p); Alan Ferguson (g); Spike Hughes (b); Bill Harty (d). Recorded in London on August 18, 1930.
This record is in V condition visually, but plays better, around V+. There are two indentations on the second side that appear as small bumps on the first side, but they do not sound on my equipment. Condition notwithstanding, you will enjoy the gorgeous music.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
