With the front laminated Sleeve in EX Condition, the plain inner in EX condition & the Record in EX Condition. With great tracks from Spirit including; 'I Got A Line On You & Silky Sam'. Description
Original UK CBS rough orange label mono press LP.The second album by Spirit issued in January 1969 and recorded during March to September 1968 in Los Angeles. The follow up to their first album Spirit, it included more jazz influences and the track 'I Got A Line On You' was a hit in the USA. It was the last Spirit album to be released in both mono & stereo mixes. The labels also have numerous mistakes in the titles and credits, such as crediting 'R. Californian', which have never been corrected on later re-issues.
This is the original stereo issue with the very earliest A-1/B-1 matrices and A-1 A-4 stampers.
The front laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light laminate rubbing and a couple of small creases on the front cover and some light storage rubbing on the unlaminated rear. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in EX condition.
The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.
The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves, overall, just a really great, loud & lively listen.
The matrix nos. are; 63523, A-1 stamper A-1, B-1 stamper A-4. This is one of early copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1969 album!
