Mint Condition, Colour Sleeve Original 1977 Punk Single
"British Refugee" c/w "Mein Kampf"
British Refugee was the first single released by The Spitfire Boys, and the first Liverpool punk single.
The band line-up on the record is:
Paul Rutherford, later of Opium Eaters and Frankie Goes to Hollywood,
Peter Clarke, who later became drummer for Big In Japan, The Slits, and Siouxsie and The Banshees, and went on to marry Siouxsie.
David Littler who went on to form the Photons with Steve Strange of Visage and Vince Ely of The Psychedelic Furs
and Peter Griffith aka Zero on bass, later of Nova Mob.
Members emerged from previous groups The White Boys and The Blackmailers.
Their first gig was supporting The Heartbreakers, playing Ramones covers, and they went on to tour the UK supporting The Slits and The Prefects.
