Original EARLIEST UK 1969 Stereo 1st press LP "SPOOKY TOOTH - SPOOKY TWO" on the original TEXTURED UK PINK ISLAND ILPS-9098 label from 1969, ONLY THE ORIGINAL EARLIEST UK 1ST PRESS HAVE THESE TEXTURED LABELS. The Cover is a great UK 1ST PRESSING GATEFOLD COVER. REALLY A FANTASTIC UK ORIGINAL 1969 1ST PRESS LP, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.  GREAT COPY.
YOU WILL NOT EASILY FIND ANOTHER AWESOME COPY OF THIS MONSTER RARE LP.  SO DON'T MISS THIS ULTRA RARE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND OPPORTUNITY.

Even in England it is now getting very hard to find good quality prog and psych from the Golden Era. I'm glad to be able to offer this CLASSIC that every rog collector should own. Spooky Two did never break into the big league and it is in our day hard to understand why .... I certainly was nothing to do with the awesome songcraft.

 

Vinyl: VG+   A few hairlines on each side but Lord ... does this vinyl deliver?? ..... I THINK SO!!!!! This is magnificent and a total testament to the first Island presses like e.g. also the early Jethro Tull presses to mention just one band. Fantastic audio and you feel you are listening to an NM vinyl!!

 

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps or skips. There is no background noise at all!! A credit to these earliest first presses with high groove walls, this makes them very resilient indeed. The Island , Vertigo and B&C/Charisma first presses are amongst the very best one can find in my opinion!!  Very remarkable for this 1969 vinyl!!! I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!

Sleeve:  EX-. An unlaminated gatefold sleeve. This came in three colour varieties, namely blue (I had this on auction last week) , pink and this,  the hardest to locate sepia/grey. NO creases. A beautiful intact and straight spine.  The edges are relatively unscathed with NEXT TO NO wear or rubbing!!! There is a small bottom seam split to the back gatefold. NO writing or taping!!! A worthy well respected copy. The inside gatefold is beautiful!!!

Labels : EX  with some spindle traces. Earliest "rough textured" variety, this is SCARCE.
