2002 Akarma Re-issue 2 x LP with triple gatefold. (AK 213/2)
condition: vinyl/cover = M-/EX ( 2 x vinyl both have no marks, virtually unplayed, the cover is virtually M-, very slight corner wear and a tiny tear in the top of the centre of the triple gatefold )
The original LP has been spread over 1 and a half sides, increasing the groove-space and quality of the sound, and on side 4 there are 3 bonus tracks not from the original LP 'Fool's Gold', 'Hendre Mews' & 'A World Full Of Whispers'. A collectible reissue of this classic piece of UK prog - especially for any fans of the Mellotron!

"Spring's 1971 debut is one of the finest examples of British progressive rock of the 1970s. Formed in Leicester in 1970, they made their name as the only band to have 3 Mellotronists in the lineup. Their one great LP, recorded after opening for the Velvet Underground's European tour, was an immediate success, thanks to intricate carpets of sound somewhere reminiscent of Moody Blues and King Crimson and a visually striking trifold cover (depicting a dead British Soldier bleeding into a stream). Unfortunately the band broke up before they could finish work on their second LP. Drummer Pick Withers went on to join Dire Straits. "
