Acclaimed U.K. "BLUES ROCK" outfit founded by eccentric veteran guitarist 'STAN WEBB'. Chicken Shack were quite possibly "THE BEST" British BLUES BAND, ever, competing for the title with Peter Green's FLEETWOOD MAC. Certainly when they were hitting on ALL CYLINDERS they bowed to no one. Lets come into the SHACK and get warm with the "BLUES". NOT RELEASED IN THE USA, THIS IS THE RARE CANADIAN ISSUE!!

THE VINYL IS EXCELLENT PLUS  - SHOWS UNDER BRIGHT LIGHTS  NO REAL MARKINGS AND NO FELT SCRATCHES ON VERY HIGHLY SHINY VINYL. THIS IS A VERY NICE RECORD NICELY CARED FOR AND RARELY PLAYED

THE  JACKET IS VG++ - MIDWEIGHT ORIGINAL CANADIAN CARD - NO SPLITS  - NO LABELS   - THERE IS  LIGHT RING WEAR AND LIGHT WEAR  -  VERY LIGHT BUMPING TO CORNERS (SEE PHOTO) - NO WRITING - HAS A SLICE CUT TO UPPER RIGHT BY OPENING, WHICH COULD MEAN THIS WAS A PROMO AS CANADIAN LP'S WERE RARELY DELETED THIS WAY

SPINE IS VG++ WITH MINOR BUMPING

LABELS ARE BRIGHT WITH VERY LIGHT SPINDLE MARKS

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY, ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY. 

Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft.  These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound.  Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs

Mint

This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!

Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.

Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.

Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks

 Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.

Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing

VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
