State – No Illusions E.P 1983
My buddy is totally into music. All kinds. He saw this odd-looking cover and layout and said, "I will buy this." It turns out, it is the original press. The condition is darn good for being close to 40 years old. The upper left corner is a bit worn but the vinyl itself is top shelf (see pictures). There is no lyric sheet and the price reflects that. Buy this as it typically goes for a lot more.
Read what Maximum Rock and Roll had to say back in 1983: “It's hard to believe that this nifty little record comes from Ann Arbor, a laid-back town which has never been a fertile environment for hardcore punk. The State present thrashed-out stuff characterized by a primitive metallic guitar, common sense political lyrics, and a certain degree of instrumental sloppiness. "Attention" is especially hot, with its roaring stop/start structure and sing-along "Yessir/No sir" chorus. A fine debut effort."
