Status Quo original single artwork for the Burning Bridges (On And Off And On Again) single sleeve
This is the original proposed artwork for Burning Bridges by Green Ink. Totally Unique and 100% genuine.
This is the only one of these in existance - bid now - if you miss out its gone forever!
Also included is the original slide for the cover photograph by Tony Mottram.
I obtained this artwork in 1994 when I worked for The Handle group of companies, who at the time managed Status quo, Barclay James Harvest and many more. It is totally original and genuine.
As you will see in the photographs the artwork comprises of 6 layers / sheets (including cover).
Sheet 1: Cover. Has original disclaimers signed by the marketing and product managers.
Sheet 2: Transparent. Hand drawn layout / comments including notes on the colour choices for 7" and 12" singles.
Sheet 3: Transparent.Printed sections showing title / text blocks and back sleeve photograph.
Sheet 4: Transparent half sheet showing rear photograph location for 12" single.
Sheet 5: Transparent half sheet showing rear photograph location for 7" single
Sheet 6: Card. Photographs for the front and rear of the record sleeve, plus text for the rear of the sleeve
The overall measurements of the artwork are approx 50cm x 31cm
As many Status Quo fans will realise this is not the cover that was finally used - they went for a boxer (Mike Tyson I think) in the end. This may have been used for non-uk singles, but i'm not sure.
You will see lines in the photograph of the slide - these are not on the slide - they are only the lamp in the background.
