Description
For a period of about 8 years in the late 60's and the early 70's , records were being pressed in Lebanon under licence from the parent record companies. This stopped when the local civil war broke out in 1975 and was never resumed. Only very few copies of each record were pressed. So, if you do find a record that is pressed in Lebanon, be sure that it is a very rare item.
Status Quo - Picturesque Matchstickable Messages from the Status Quo (Pye NPL 18220)
In 1960's Lebanon, it was common for the sleeve of an LP to be imported from England while the vinyl itself was pressed locally. Such is the case here. The LP you are looking at was pressed in Lebanon by Melody. Have a look at the label in the scan below. The sleeve was printed in England. The vinyl is in EX. The sleeve is in VG condition. On the front of the sleeve, there seems to have been a sticker which was removed (see scan).
