Description

Two 7" 45 rpm records of the Music From Trinidad. This little album was "recorded in the public squares" in Trinidad and the records were made in England. Music included is: I am Going away with the Lord, Me Mama Say No Give, More Mambo and Mambo No 5. As I'm writing this description I realize that this album originally contained only the above, the second one was is an extra. The second one contains Bajan Diplomat by The She She Calypso Band and is a vocal, and The Happy Wanderer by the Trinidad Philharmonic Steel Band Orchestra. CONDITION: Record #1 is in reasonably good condition, not perfect. Record #2 is The small cardboard album, with signed original art by J. Cromwell, is somewhat tattered and shop worn. It has been glued where the flaps came undone and I sealed a piece or two back on with collector's stamp hinges. It is somewhat browned and brittle from age and storage. It was stored in a dry place though, so no dampness smells.

Another update, this time on condition. I had a chance to play both records on a somewhat better turntable. I'm not expert but the first record sounds quite good. There are some light static-y sounds but overall it's good. The second one is less well off. There are no major large scratches and only two light scratches visible but it has more "static". It may have been played more, particularly the Happy Wanderer. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have to help clarify the description.
