Description
What a GREAT band that made so many GREAT LPs via the collaborative song-writing talents of Donald Fagan and Walter Becker!!! And in this auction is their SECOND LP!! This LP followed their landmark “Can’t Buy A Thrill” LP that kept Steely Dan in the forefront of Rock & Roll music during the 1970s and beyond.
In this auction:
· “COUNTDOWN TO ESCTASY” LP by Steely Dan
· This is MCA Records 37041.
· The record in this auction was released in 1980. (Originally, this Steely Dan title was released by ABC Records with catalog # ABCX 779 in 1973.)
· This LP has 8 GREAT cuts: “Bodhisattva”, “Razor Boy”, “The Boston Rag”, “Your Gold Teeth”, “Show Biz Kids”, “My Old School”, “Pearl of the Quarter”, and “King of the World”.
· While “Bodhisattva” and “My Old School” received a lot of airplay, you know the WHOLE LP IS SIMPLY EXCELLENT! (In fact, what Steely Dan LP wasn’t simply excellent?)
· This LP is MINT STILL SEALED. There are a couple of snags/tears in the shrink wrap: at the top over the “D” in “DAN”, 2 small tears on the front near the spine with a dime-sized piece of shrink wrap missing, a small tear in the shrink near the top of the rear cover and a 2-inch x 3-inch piece of shrink missing at the bottom of the rear cover and a small tear in the shrink on the front on the first seated figure on the left. There are also 2 small corner pushes on the lower corners and some slight wear on those corners plus the one at the top of the spine where the shrink wrap wore through. There are also a couple of very small “dings” (light impressions) near the opening and near the spine.
So don’t pass up this opportunity to add this STEELY DAN LP to YOUR vinyl collection!!!
