"Here is music written as a paean to Death. But it does not sound as we have accustomed ourselves to hear dirges. Mozart's Requiem, the Mass of Death, is full of life, full of a kind of joy, full of strong emotion - but not maudlin. And, nevertheless, it was a man sick unto death who wrote this music: Life's Song to Death. Listen, feel it, and rejoice that it exists. This is the first time it has been hear in a Swedish recording."
Recorded January 12-14, 1979, in St. Jacob's Church, Stockholm.
