NOTE - AUCTION IS FOR ALL THREE ITEMS ALBUM AND 2 PROGRAMMES
AS TIME GOES BY This extremely rare LP was produced in Edinburgh by Edward Baxter, who was my older brother. He managed Grappelli for over 20 years and always wanted to make an album of the music he loved. He was very friendly with Diz Disley who said go ahead and make t. This is the result, recorded live o n a tour to celebrate Grappelli's 70th birthday. The album was only sold the following year at the theatres he played at. I don't think there was a set edition number but I remember they sold all copies before the tour finished. Signed by Stephane and the Dizley trio. For tracks - see picture 7 If you look at the bottom of picture 7 you will see that the album cover picture was painted by another of my late brother's friends Ronnie Browne of the Corries. The original painting hangs above the fireplace in my brother's widow's home. THE PROGRAMME As can be seen in the pics, this was for Grappelli's 85th birthday celebration at the Barbican Centre in February 1993.In addition to Grappelli and his trio it is was also signed by Laurie Holloway and his lovely wife Marion Montgomery.

Also included in the auction is the beautiful, unsigned programme for the Grappelli 70th Birthday tour featuring George Shearing , Julian Bream and Niels Pedersen.
