(1957) Original release of this LP on Stereo Records S7018 STEREO, In Association with Contemporary Records, this is the original Stereo Records release with the black and silver label, great used condition, generic paper liner. Extensive notes on the back of the jacket by Lester Koenig, dated April 2, 1957, along with small black and white photos of the four men involved in this LP. Back of the jacket is old-style pasted on.

On the top of the back of the jacket it reads--Stereophonic two-channel disc recording utilizing Westrex 45-45 "StereoDisk" cutting system. To be reproduced only with sterophonic cartridge. Warning: use of conventional monaural cartridge without sufficient vertical compliance may result in damage to this record.

TECHNICAL DATA:  30-15,000 cycles. Multiple microphone technique featuring AKG C-12 condenser microphones. Ampex stereo tape recorder. Mastering on Contemporary's specially designed electronically controlled variable pitch lathe with Westrex 3A "StereoDisk" cutting head, heated stylus, inner diameter quality equalization. RIAA playback curve. Vinylite "Gruve/Gard" pressing.

On the label of the LP it reads--Stereophonic two-channel disc recording utilizing Westrex 45-45 "StereoDisk" cutting system. To be reproduced only with stereophonic cartridge using .7 to .8 mil stylus, with stylus pressure not to exceed 6 grams. 33 1/3rpm. RIAA playback curve.

Condition:  Record is clean and vibrant, appears lightly played with a few light scratches, less on Side Two, playing surface is smooth and shiny, most of the blemishes are near-invisible and can only be seen when reflecting light off the record, all are minor, overall great used condition, Side Two has a couple of spindle marks on label, on a 1-10 scale I would rate the record an 8.5/9. Jacket in good condition, good color and binding, one tiny knick in the binding but nearly all the print is completely readable except right on the knick, bottom right corner is slightly scrunched, light edge and corner wear, no separation.
