Description
Up for auction is a vinyl copy of the double album "Stereopathetic Soulmanure" by Beck. This is a Flipside Records pressing 660. Run Matrix - 41991[2,3,4] (2). The item was bought used in near mint condition but I never played it. Cover in NM- condition.
Grading:
I us a variation of the goldmine grading system as follows:
Still Sealed-
Original unopened shrink wrap in place (90% tolerance.) Expect a brand new item free of any obvious damage.
Near Mint-
Record is in a just opened condition with very minor to unnoticeable imperfections. Hardly played if at all. Cover will have a nice shine no ring wear and no splits or cracks. Small minor creases or one or two dents can still be expected.
Very Good-
Record plays through with noticeable wear, but no deep gouges. Expect the record to have some surface noise in-between tracks and during quiet moments in a song. A very good record will also have some minor pops and hisses, but still has a warm desirable sound. Cover shows signs of seam splits, minor wear on corners, minor picture sheen wear, and the beginning of ring wear.
Good-
Is not all that good in record collection. Expect a good record to be well played and handled (Pops and hisses, surface noise, scuffs and scratches.) A good record should still play through without skipping. A cover has multiple splits, ring wear, discoloration, creases, but still holds the record in place.
Poor-
Expect the worse. I will not sell records in this condition unless they are significantly rare.
I will use a +/- if I think a record is in-between grades.
