Description

Up for auction is a PRISTINE copy of Steve Lacy & Mal Waldron - Let's Call This Hat Hut double LP. Deluxe cardboard jacket with great photos and liner notes. This copy still has the inserts: a postcard and catalogue. The music is primarily Thelonious Monk compositions, but Lacy and Waldron both contributed a composition to the proceedings. This is a live recording from Paris in 1983 and the sound quality is exceptional. Both men are in great relaxed form enabling them to tackle the demands of Monks singularly unique and angular compositions with apparent ease. This is an excellent Live and well performed and well recorded and superbly packaged double LP that proves how exceptional these two musicians are. I am a great fan of both Steve Lacy and Mal Waldron. Together its quite a treat to hear them playing with such elegance...
