Description
Steve Lacy (with Wynton Kelly, Buell Neidlinger, Dennis Charles) SOPRANO SAX. Prestige 7125, recorded 1957. original pressing: 446 West 50th Street address on label, and west 50th also on jacket. Deep Groove mono. Black-on-yellow label. Rigid glossy original cover. Uh-huh.... Disc plays M-: probably as clean as you could hope for a Prestige pressing. One fingerprint in the outer rim dead wax doesn’t affect play. Jacket also is basically perfect... makes you scared to touch it.
Here’s the eleventh of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well. Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence. Combined shipping available within reason. I realize these are about the worst photos ever; let me know if there's something you need to see but can't.
