Up for bid is an extremely rare LP, "Soprano Sax," by Steve Lacy, featuring Wynton Kelly, Buell Neidlinger, and Dennis Charles. This is an original mono press, released by Prestige (7125) in 1957. Interior labels are  yellow and black, with a deep groove on either side. 446 W. 50th St. NYC address is printed on the labels, and "RVG" is stamped in dead wax on both sides. LP has a flat edge. LP is VG, with scuffs and light scratches on either side. LP plays with some surface noise (crackle, tics, & pops) - but no skips, and retains a nice gloss. A professional clean should remove some of the surface noise. I have enjoyed this LP from start to finish! Jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. There is light wear on all corners. There is some scuffing and a couple of scratches on the front of the jacket. There are a couple of ink stamps on the back of the jacket - one in red ink ("AZZ" - near the center of the spine) and an "R" in black ink (in the back bottom right corner - see pictures). There are several small spots of discoloration on the back of the jacket. Color on the front is still bright and the front retains a nice gloss. An original mono press of this LP is difficult to find in any condition! Don't miss your chance to pick up this extremely rare gem!
