The Steve Miller Band "Children Of The Future"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Capitol ST-2920  from 1968.     This is their first album.    It's on the black label with color band and does not have 'subsidary' in the rim print.    What a great record.    It's one of the first truely psychedelic albums by a major label.      "Steppin' Stone' would have been a hit single if they had released it !       This album has their best line-up : Steve Miller, Jim Peterson, Tim Davis, Lonnie Turner, and Boz Scaggs.       The front and back cover and the inside gatefold art is by Victor Moscoso ( also famous for Zap Comics )        Steve Miller is on tour right now!!!!   

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is M-

The gatefold cover is VG+ with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   There is light overall cover wear and seam wear.       The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.    The labels are perfect with a hint of spindle marks.  The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 12 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 28 ounces ( 1 pound, 12 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
