This is an original pressing of the first LP on the small, private (but EXCELLENT) Mustevic record label.  “MUSIC OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.”  It’s from 1975-6.  It’s very creative music with very strong grooves.  “Center Of The Earth” has a great Pharoah Sanders feel.

 

Tunes:           SIDE A - “Kai”; “Rocks (For Cannonball)”

                        SIDE B – “Center Of The Earth”, “C You Around”, “One Minute Please”

 

Personnel:   Drums – Steve Reid; piano – Les Walker; bass – David Wertman; trombone – Michael Keith; alto – Arthur Blythe.

                        Guest artists: Chris Capers – trumpet; Melvin Smith – guitar; Charles Tyler – baritone saxophone.

 

The vinyl is in excellent condition; it almost looks unplayed.  It plays beautifully.

 

The cover has a little ring/rubwear and “KRCC” and “JAZZ” written on it (approx. 2” x “4 and 1” x “3 respectively) in black permanent marker.  The back cover also has “KRCC” written on it (1-1/2” x 4”).  Both of the white labels are clean.

 

Ridiculously low minimum and no reserve!
