Description

A bigger issue to find in great condition than you might at first imagination. Yes, not too difficult to find really nice condition. BUT -  I tend to find the issue is trying to find EVERYTHING in great order. Which is kinda what you want. You might find the Double LPs in great condition -and the cover is a little tired. Or Perhaps the booklet a bit grubby. Or you find most of the title in great shape - and the 7 inch single missing. BUT HEY - this one is GREAT THROUGHOUT.  
An original 1st press of KEY OF LIFE on the Motown UK label. The LPs comes housed in an original gatefold cover. An original lyric booklet. Two generic inners from the time. A bonus 7 inch too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Lovely condition particularly when you consider the vintage. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks per side nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Judging by the quality of the audio - we are close on to those original masters....there is no other explanation. Yes, the preservation is most certainly helping. But it's like Stevie is at the microphone in your sitting room. All the vibrancy and intricate detail only obtainable on a near-master copy with such good preservation. Lowkey tracks play rich and lovely and clean. Birdsong and lowkey piano tinkling is all perfectly resolved. A couple of minor ticks observable in two isolated spots. And a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. Real sweet. The Music lives on. Superb all round. If you want a top level copy. If you need the full gamut -consistently. Then, pay close attention to this one..
Cover (Ex) Looking much smarter than the average original copy. Lovely clean and flat surfaces. Minimal edge wear and no tears or creasing.. Really tidy with nothing unsightly. Check out other copies and you will see quite a difference, Very little edge wear at all. Interior looks superb. Spine 98% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Booklet (Ex) No kidding this is in awesome condition. Not sure I've ever had one like this.
Single (Ex) Superb. Slight use. No nasty marks.
Inners (Vg+) Aged a little. bag present. No splits.
