At the time of this writing, the Seller had additional titles by this artist for sale on Ebay.  The Seller is the Original Owner and received this LP as a promotional copy from the label at the time of its release. 

The discs were visually inspected and appears to be in NM condition.  The original 24 page booklet with lyrics is included, which is in excellent condition. The bonus EP is also included. The gatefold cover is in VG+ condition with minimal shelf wear.  It has a cut corner in the upper right corner, which designated it as a promo copy. The inside of the cover has an arc cut out to hold the bonus EP (see photo).  It has the original generic inner sleeves, which have no seam splits. Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  Songs in the Key of Life is the eighteenth studio album by American singer, songwriter and musician Stevie Wonder. It was released on September 28, 1976, by Tamla Records, a division of Motown. The double album has been regarded by music journalists as the culmination of Wonder's "classic period" of recording.

Songs in the Key of Life was released as a double LP with a four-song bonus EP. It debuted at number one on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart becoming only the third album to achieve that feat and the first by an American artist at the time. Both the lead single "I Wish" and follow-up single "Sir Duke" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Songs in the Key of Life spent thirteen consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming the album with the most weeks at number one during the year. It was the second best-selling album of 1977 in the US. In 2005, Songs in the Key of Life was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Songs in the Key of Life won Album of the Year at the 19th Grammy Awards. It is the best-selling and most critically acclaimed album of Wonder's career. Widely regarded as Wonder's magnum opus and one of the greatest albums in the history of recorded music, many musicians have remarked on the quality of the album and its influence on their own work; indeed, some notable musicians have named it as the greatest album of all time. It was voted number 89 in Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums and ranked number 4 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2002, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2005, Songs in the Key of Life was inducted into the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress, which deemed it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. The collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983, 39 years!  Please check back occasionally to see my new listings. I add approx. 25–50 new LPs per week.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

 VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30. Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping could occur if vinyl records are exposed to heat and direct sunlight, so please make adequate arrangements to safely receive your packages.  If Buyer prefers a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
