Description
This is the very limited (500 copies only) and highly sought after 2007 release of Stewart Lee's surreal dark comedy piece 'Pea Green Boat' with music by Jane Watkins on the 'Go Faster Stripe' label.
The record is presented in a quality card sleeve (with a white paper inner sleeve) and is made of glossy heavyweight viny
VERY GOOD CONDITION: See photos. Back cover has a couple of very small slight scuff marks. Vinyl is in very good condition, some minor surface marks, does not affect play.

'An owl wakes up at sea in a pea green boat. It is accompanied by a cat, its natural predator. There is some honey. What chain of events led to this dangerous situation?
This is the long awaited luxury vinyl version of Pea Green Boat.
As this version is pretty much a vanity project for us and Stew, production is limited to 500 copies in the whole world. So they can only go up in value.
This is not the live show, or the 5 minute Radio 4 version, but a new specially recorded version, produced by Jane Watkins.'
Stewart Lee's Back Cover Blurb:
'Pea Green Boat was created in scratch-workshop conditions by Stewart Lee at Battersea Arts Centre in December 2001. It was inspired by finding a teatowl featuring Edward Lear's The Owl And The Pussycat for sale in an RNLI station at Lizard Point, Cornwall, in the Summer of 2000.
Pea Green Boat featured live original music by Jane Watkins and Simon Munnery and John Dowie alternated in the roles of edward Lear and Ray Winstone, narrative elements now cut from the story.
Another version of the show, with the same team, ran at The Traverse theatre, Edinburgh in August 2002, and again at BAC that year. In June 2004, Radio 4 broadcast an edited version of the piece, produced by Liz webb, with Janes music removed to save money.
The version of Pea Green Boat you hold in your hand was recorded and produced by Jane, with her music reinstated, in the summer of 2005, with additional material. Thanks to Go faster Stripe for finally making it available. Stewart Lee, May 2007.'
