Description
Up for Auction is a very rare and very beautiful blue and purple multicolored vinyl from the Stills-Young Band!
This vinyl contains a rare concert recording of the Stills-Young Band performing during their 1976 Summer tour. Location and specific date are unknown (at least to me.)
This tour should be familiar to Neil Young fans as the short-lived tour where Neil left the band midway through the tour.
Only a handful of Stills-Young shows were performed in 1976 before Neil left the band.
This is the only vinyl record ever manufactured containing a live performance of their Summer 1976 tour. It has been pressed on blue, purple, and white multicolored vinyl and is sought after among collectors!
The copy you see here in this auction contains both the front paper insert, and also the very rare back insert. Both are in Mint condition with no creases or stains.
The back insert is a sort of comic jab toward SODD records, who were run by the same group who created Trade Mark of Quality. The insert itself is rather humorous for anyone familiar with bootleg vinyl :P
This record is from Hoffman Avenue Records, which was run by Lou Cohen. Lou, in an attempt to stay away from the law, used many generic record labels including Trenton Records - the same generic label which was used for this record.
The sleeve is in Near Mint condition and is in the original shrink warp, which is coming apart.
The vinyl appears in Near Mint condition but sounds closer to VG+. It has some minor surface noise.
