Stone Free, featuring Cecil Lyde

Aladdin West Records, 1980 (HB-92048-L, Stereo)


LP - VG


LP plays wonderfully and sounds great. However, there is moderate warp near the outer edge most heavily affecting the first track on each side. There are some slight marks in the wax where the warp occurred that extend into tracks 2 and 3 on each side, but cannot be felt (like stretch marks, for lack of a better term). You can barely notice in normal light, but is fairly evident under bright light. On a turntable, the LP certainly shows evidence of the warp when played on either side. I play tested the entire album on a Technics 1200 with an Ortofon cartridge and it tracked just fine and I couldn't notice any pops or other noise through headphones. Beyond the warp, there is only minimal wear; a few minor sleeve scuffs. If you can live with the uneven rotation, this is a very nice copy.
