For sale; Stone Roses 'Fools Gold' U.S. Import 12" single, issued in 1990 by Silvertone Records Ltd.;
A. Fools Gold 9.53
B. What The World Is Waiting For 3.55/Fools Gold 4.15
Unusually for a single, this plays at 33 1/3 rpm. Run-out grooves are inscribed 1315-1-JD-A and 1315-1-JD-B, along with what looks like the word 'emu'! I purchased this record new in my dimly-remembered youth; unusually, I left it in its original cellophane, probably because it had a nice shiny sticker on the front! Aside from some minor handling marks, the sleeve has survived remarkably well and could have just come out of the browsers of Nottingham's SelectaDisc. Ah, happy days.....
I don't recall having ever played the vinyl, chiefly because I already owned the Fools Gold UK 12". It may have been played once or twice out of curiosity, but the gold (alright, yellow) vinyl is still virtually unmarked. There are a couple of small, dark marks which I've attempted to picture, but they are within the transparent vinyl (impurities, I suppose) and are not surface damage. The inner sleeve is also in very good condition, as pictured.
