I bought this record sealed in 1995. The sticker says that it's purple vinyl. I thought it would be really cool to have this album in purple vinyl! I left this thing sealed for over 20 years. Finally I thought it would really be cool to see the purple vinyl. Much to my surprise, it was black. I guess it's too late for me to take it back and trade it in.
It wasn't until very recently that I discovered that the barcode for the black vinyl is exactly the same as the bar code for the purple vital. I've seen people selling sealed copies saying they aren't sure what color is inside even if it has a sticker that says purple vinyl.
I never played the album so it's pretty sweet.
I have been shipping records for over 20 years. I remove the vinyl from the jacket and printed inner sleeve to keep the jacket and sleeve safe from getting split seams. The vinyl goes in a generic sleeve. The jacket, sleeve and vinyl are slipped into a plastic outer LP sleeve. I use sturdy record boxes and fortify the package with cardboard sheets.
Please know that my interest is much deeper than making a sale. I want you and I both to be happy with the transaction. So, if you think I've misrepresented the items in any way or are disappointed in the item once you get it, please let me know. We can work things out.
