Description

Genuine Xmas 1969 boxed copy. The eary 1st unboxed copies were pressed Sept/Oct -before Decca switched to the new boxed style in November. If you are looking for an amazing copy without shelling out mega $$$ you can find them amongst the heavy duty copies for the Xmas'69 market. Thee are a couple of indicators which alude to this...the font employed is wide like the discontinued unboxed copies (see catalogue number and album title). And at the foot 'The Decca Record company' is all mentioned on the one line(per the unboxed copies). These copies are heavy pressed unlike the flimsy stock from a couple of years later. Original cover is the official 1st issue print from Upton with that important peep hole on the rear. The inner is the correct LIB version with the London bach Choir redacted.
Why spend a fortune on the earliest copy when u can spend much less on a near master total banger like this example ?

Vinyl (Ex/Ex+)In really great condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least EXCELLENT level of playback. MOST copies will not quite manage to nail this release. So why suffer a 50/50 copy? Better to go for something which ticks all the boxes and will ace it. The audio comes across with excellent clarity. An excellent strike rate by any measure...If you wanted a lovely solid player....well worth thinking about! 
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and many original examples will not be looking this spritely after this passage of time. Lovely clean front without wear.... The rear remains r unworn which is nice to see..it has avoided the ageing process. The cover retains excellent rigidity. Spine 95%+ intact.
