Description
After a brief hospital stay, I am now ready to continue on with the
listing of my acquisition of a substantial group of Store-Stock
Viva-Tonal Columbias by Ruth Etting and Lee Morse. They are in
stunning condition, and of course, play like a dream!
I will be listing these (in no particular order) on ebay over the next
several weeks.
Ruth Etting is accompanied by pianist Rube Bloom and she sings
"The Varsity Drag" on 78rpm Viva-Tonal Columbia 1237-D.
This was recorded in NYC on December 15, 1927.
On the reverse side, The Revelers, using their Columbia psuedonym
of The Singing Sophomores, do a great rendition of "Good News."
The record is in lovely excellent-plus (E+) condition, and looks like it
came right off the dealer's shelf!
