Description

Extremely Unusual and interesting LP from 1968... "THE MEN OF THE CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION: In Concert November 22, 1968- SING OUT 68"

Remarkable Private Issue/ Vanity LP from the Prison at Tehachapi, California, now a High Security Institution... I always thought it was a Women's Prison... This LP has a hand-screened label on the front, blank back, and blank labels... Many of the songs are originals by the Inmates/ Performers... With full instrumental accompaniment, including Electric Guitars and other sounds of 1968... This LP is a partial concert, "SIDES 3 & 4"... "With deepest gratitude to Western Recorders for their Assistance"... Spoken word announcements, musical director Eddie Mitchell and the "John F. Kennedy Memorial Suite" and much more... Fascinating glimpse of Social History.... Condition of the jacket; VG, wear, soil, slight age darkening/ decay (see photo)... Slight pen and pencil... Condition of the vinyl; VG+, slight wear/ scuffs/ some pressing inferiority...

Records are graded per "GOLDMINE" standards: SS= Still Sealed... M= Perfect...NM= Near Perfect...EX= Not Quite NM!...VG+= some wear, slight damage...VG= wear, some damage...G+= considerable wear, damage...Good, Fair. VISA, MC, DISCOVER are all OK.
