Description
Here is a beautiful RCA Victor mint Box Set of Richard Strauss Ariadne auf Naxos. The three record set features Leonie Rysanek, Roberta Peters, Sena Juirnac and Jan Peerce. The music is by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Erich Leinsdorf. This is from RCA's Soria Series and is number LD/LDS 6152. The fabric slip case is in very good condition. The three records are in mint condition and never played. The three records are in white paper inner sleeves with clear label windows. One sleeve is stamped in red with "Disc Jockey Sample, Not For Resale". The record labels are dark red with silver lettering with the RCA Dog trademark. There is also a 43 page program of the opera. The book features articles about Richard Strauss and the performers of the opera, along with drawings of the characters and their costumes as they appeared in the original 1912 production. The book is in mint condition as well. The three records and book are in a hard slip case which fits into the outer slip case. This is a one owner set.
