Richard Strauss - Otto Klemperer, Philharmonia Orchestra
Don Juan / Till Eulenspiegel / Dance Of The Seven Veils.
Rare and Original 1961 Australian issue, pressed from 1st UK mother plates, from stampers manufactured, and pressed very well at EMI Australia. Ed1. Blue and Silver Columbia labels. (SAXO 2367)UK master codes at 6 o'clock, and 1 Mother code at 9 o'clock, but NO stamper codes at 3 o'clock, but this is a UK First Master, First Mother on both sides.
This vinyl record is also housed in an Original 1961 UK issue - SAX 2367 Stereo sleeve.
This was normal for this time, with either Mother plates or stampers being provided to Australia, along with the UK sleeves. There is very little between the audio quality, and in my experience, these can sound better when played in a direct comparison to the UK issue. It can work both ways, but there is very little in it, and most often a very slight tonal difference, rather that an inferior or better pressing.
The vinyl is Excellent. The labels are Near Mint. The sleeve is VG+ with edge wear just on the bottom edge. - see pics

The record is still playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even stick, skip or jump.. This is starting to be an unpleasant listening experience at the top of the grade (55) and will not be a pleasant listening experience at all by the end of it (41).

Within Australia, the best value for multiple purchases is a 5KG satchel, where as many as 15 to 20 LPs can be posted for $22.00 registered post. (well packed in a box, inside the satchel)
