Description
This is a very rare record as I could not find any instances of it being sold, and only a handful of references in music libraries. It is a full length recital (with piano) recording of Stuart Fastofsky (1927-1964), a violinist from New York who was reviewed on multiple occasions in the New York Times for his Carnegie Hall recitals in the 1940s and 1950s. Because he died young, he was not commonly recorded.
The record itself is as close to NM as possible without being gradeable as NM. It has only a couple of faint scuff marks that are not audible. The jacket is VG+ with a little bit of creasing on the open edge as seen in the photograph.
The track listing is as follows:
SIDE ONE Sonata - Dezso-Delmar Melodie - Rachmaninoff Dust of Snow - William T. Ames (Pianist: Avraham Sternklar)
SIDE TWO Extase - Eugene Ysaye Sonata No 2 Op 2 - Paganini Sonata No 5 Op 2 - Paganini Sonata No 6 Op 2 - Paganini (Pianist: Claudette Denys)
I have set a price on this based on its extreme rarity, but Best Offers are happily accepted and will be considered. If you do make an offer, please make a comment as to how you determined your price. Will ship for free in the U.S. by Media Mail. I will upgrade to priority mail free of charge if asking price is paid.
