CHARACTERISTICS OF DISK or COVER: (1) Original front cover design and back cover design used, (2) Mercury/EmArcy red label; USA Mercury custom-made & pressed for 1970s Japanese market, which is close to audiophile pressing (see additional notes for details), (3) Cardboard Cover weight app. 105g, (4) Disk weight app. 140g.

DISK CONDITION: VG++?NM( one or two spindle hole label mark and faint disk hairline on side A, but still lustrous vinyl and clean labels; faint or minimal static background noise)

COVER CONDITION: VG++ ( faint vertical discoloration along with the spine, and small crinkles or dents or wear on both seams and spine, but still in very well conservation and great shape although I bought this and peeled off its shrink wrap in early 1970s; If it were not for spine discoloration, the cover condition would be valued as NM )

PAPER SLEEVE CONDITION: VG+ ( somewhat yellowish and crinkly; some creases,  but still in nice shape) 

ADDITIONAL NOTES: One of well-known masterpieces by Clifford Brown / Max Roach organization which all jazz fans including hard bop jazz listeners should listen to. Their music is swingy, funky and melodic and sometimes sentimental. You can enjoy typical hard bop jazz. This listed item of Brown/ Roach quintet, whose disk quality is almost to equal to other Japanese audiophile pressings of 1970s-80s,  was custom-pressed for the Japanese jazz fans who had continued to love USA jazz, in early 1970s when “Study In Brown” had been out of print since the production and distribution of its 1960s Mercury blue label was discontinued. Masterdisk stamp as a certificate of sound quality in   the trail-off vinyl, which mean this listed item is a product of USA Masterdisk Inc which mastered many records including Branford Marsalis, Royal Garden Blues.  Recommended.
