Recording & Production Context

Recorded in 1993 at Side Stick Studio in East Detroit, Michigan, the material contained in this archive was originally intended for release as a seven-song 10″ EP on colored vinyl. During the production process, the release was ultimately issued in a reduced format as a two-song 7″.

Release Note – Track Listing Discrepancy

The official jacket lists three tracks, while the pressed vinyl contains two. The original DAT's containing the final approved production mixes suffered cold exposure, resulting in multiple digital dropouts (missing audio segments). No safety copy existed at the time. By the point of discovery, jackets had already been manufactured, and budget constraints allowed only two tracks to be re-mixed and delivered for pressing, resulting in the two-track vinyl release.

Subsequently, the remaining five unreleased tracks from the 2″ multitrack master were transferred to both DAT and ½″ analog formats as a full rough-mix safety copy.

Condition & Provenance

All materials have remained continuously stored in a climate-controlled environment and in the custodianship of the label’s founder since recording. The complete 2″ multitrack master including all seven songs was transferred to WAV files in 2018 without the need for tape baking.
