Condition: I use VJM grading for all 78s
Visually: E+ to E++, a handful of light inaudible scuffs and scratches. Luster is like new. Very slight edge wave that has no affect on play whatsoever.
Sounds: N-, plays as if new

My Reference and Grading Audio System:
Audio grading is done with a pitch perfect KAB Broadcast Standard Technics 1210 Turntable and a Grado 78E Cartridge designed for Mono 78 record playback. (If you love vintage records and don't have one of these you owe it to yourself to hear what it can do for your 78s)

Amp is a Vintage Eico HF-12 set for Mono playback. Speaker: Single Mono Vintage University Coax. I feel this is a very close to authentic set up. I grade with Bass and Treble settings at zero for the most reliable read of actual record quality

525 (GS 6.6.5 (525)) On Nov-13-13 at 06:14:13 PST, seller added the following information: Note on play grade: As the description indicates, there are a few marks on this 78, but the luster is outstanding and the play is top notch, 100%. I usually play 78s through my Mono Eico amp, with treble and bass at zero through a vintage University Coax. speaker. By it's nature, noise is reduced and a nice, reliable sound for grading 78s is produced. This time around I played the Burgess record through my Marantz 7 / McIntosh 240 into a pair of Meadowlark Kestrel Audiophile speakers with no filtering of any kind. This record is so clean, it sounded fantastic. To my ears, it sounded better than a remastered vinyl or CD reissue ever could. I was amazed.
