Description
This is a 1956 original Saturn records 45 pressing of Sun Ra and his Arkestra (here spelled Arkistra) playing Saturn on side a. and A Call For all Demons on side b. The condition is remarkably good for a 60 year old record. There are no warps or skips and the record plays through on both sides with no problems. There is a bit of pop and crackle here and there but no more than one is used to if you have experienced Saturn pressings before. The labels are in good condition with pen markings on both sides. Comes in a generic single sleeve with a clear mylar cover. 'Rare' doesn't even begin to describe this disc and to find one in this good condition is amazing. I would grade the whole thing as a VG ++ losing a few points for the pen marks and a little surface noise. That said this is overall, a lovely copy of a supremely great Arkestra record and one that seldom if ever appears. I will pack and protect VERY securely.
