Sun Ra and his Outer Space Arkestra, A fireside chat with Lucifer, Nuclear War, Retrospect, Makeup, Saturn A/B 1984SG-9, 5626 Morton Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144, Made in the USA 1982.
Side A: Nuclear War, Retrospect, Makeup (Matrix: Sun Ra 1984 A).
Side B: A Fireside chat with Lucifer (Matrix: Sun Ra 1984 B).
Vinyl/Record in M- condition. (Absolutely great condition, no scratches, marks, couple of scuffs but do not affect play, spindles have 2 lines, hardly been played!).
Original plain white cover in M-/VG++ condition, no drawings or print.
Hello and welcome to my latest auction. This week we have some very heavy gear for sale, with one of the rarest Sun Ra's up for grabs but also some Killer Afro stuff, hardly seen Geraldo Pino Lp, cool 7"s and some essential Libraries! So what we have here is the original Saturn release of one of the rarest Sun Ra lps from the 80's, check www.popsike.com to see for yourselves. First issue of the famous track "Nuclear War" which he tried to push as a commercial hit! Great lp all the way through. Unfortunately doesn't come with hand painted drawing or photocopied print but has original plain white sleeve. I reckon they pressed up a bunch of them and some of them got drawn on and others didn't. The great thing about this copy is that it's in pristine condition, it has a couple of spindle marks which indicates it hasn't been played very much...I might of done one whilst checking condition! If you have any queries about this item, don't hesitate to get in touch. If you are a Sun Ra collector and don't have this Lp, I recommend you don't let this beautiful copy get away.
