Sun Ra & His Arkestra A Fireside Chat with Lucifer on Saturn Records
Here is an original Sun Ra & His Arkestra performing A Fireside Chat with Lucifer. These LPs were private pressings and were not usually sold in bigger record stores. They were put together by hand in very small batches and often featured very unique hand-stenciled and drawn covers, which were rumored to have been mostly done by Sun Ra groupies.
This rare LP was originally released in 1984 by Saturn Records and was originally recorded live in New York City, from a September 1982 performance. This particular title is one of the most collectible of Ra's '80s legendary recordings that contains the first recording of the amazing call-and-response tune entitled, "Nuclear War."
Vinyl is a very clean VG++ (has a few minute pressing bubbles on surfaces that do not sound upon play back). Original stickered labels are very clean. Cover is VG/VG+ (has ring-wear, has a small “550” written in blue ball-point pen on top right corner with remnants of an old price sticker. There is also slight smearing in the bottom portion of the cover stencil & slight corner and edge wear.) Cover has NO Splits anywhere!
