Sun Ra and his Solar Myth Arkestra ~ Horizon ~ El Saturn LP 849 -1217718
Here is a 1978 pressing of Sun Ra's Horizon LP. recorded live in Cairo, Egypt in 1971. The vinyl is in VG + condition. As with most Saturn records it has relatively lo-fi sound. Side 1. plays really well all through while Side 2. has a couple of abrasions that cause a few clicks and pops during Ra's epic Moog solo but no skips or heavy scratches.
The cover has a fabulous, circular paste on image of the Egyptian deity Thoth with Sun and Ankh symbols. The sleeve has some overall general wear, browning, markings, ring-wear and soft bumps at the corners. The previous owner has affixed a photocopied discographical annotation of this recording to the inner sleeve.
Overall a far from perfect copy but still decent and getting more and more rare.
I will pack very robustly to protect the vinyl and sleeve in transit.
