*Special boxed set, the first collection ever to reissue Sun Ra's 7 inch singles in their original format. Limited to 999 individually numbered copies* This copy is #407
Jazzman truly outdo themselves with a 3 x 7" pack of ultra-rare Sun-Ra material pressed on glow-in-the-dark wax housed in custom-made, triple gatefold, screen printed sleeve. Sun-Ra would originally release these 7"s on his own Saturn imprint, usually pressed in runs as small as 50 which would end up in the hands of serious collectors. The tracks span a period between 1950 up to the '70s, from the cosmic doo-wop of the Cosmic Rays' 'Dreaming' to the intense moog-rock of 'The Perfect Man' and the highly sought after Ra rockers 'Love In Outer Space', plus Rocket No.9', 'Enlightenment' and Yochannan's 'The Sun Man Speaks'. This is a one-shot deal, highly recommended for Ra collectors and those what know.

It has been reported among collectors that some copies of these were severely warped. I have opened this piece and spun each disc on my Vestax turntable to check for warping. I'm pleased to say that I found no evidence of this. Just to reiterate I have not played them, I have only just spun each one to check for warping. The original shrinkwrapping is included with this item.
