Sun Ra Solo Piano Volume 1 (Improvising Artists IAI 37.38.50) stereo

This Issue: Front cover: Abstract, video-generated multicolor background with artist's name in largest black letters, all capitals, about one third down from top, ranged left. Running to the right, from the center, in smaller black letters, all lower-case, is album title. Underneath it is "Volume 1" in smallest black letters. Only other printed letters: IAI logo and catalog number, lower-left corner, with "Improvising Artists Inc." below it. Artist's signature is in lower-right corner. Back: Entire side is sepia tinted. Large photo of artist, seated at piano, dominates. His name and album title at top left; underneath, track titles, followed by composer credits and, then, by production credits. Bottom-right corner: catalog number and IAI logo; then, on three lines: "(P) & (C) 1977 Improvising Artists Inc. (R)"; 26 Jane St. New York, N.Y. 10014"; and "Printed in the U.S.A.".
Center Labels and Runouts: ?Labels have, as background, same sepia-tinted artist photo as appears on album back. IAI logo, large, at top, with, smaller and in italics: "Improvising Artists Inc." underneath. To the right, in letters smaller, still (on two lines): "IAI 37.38.50" and "STEREO". Underneath that, on four lines: (large letters, boldface) "SUN RA"; "Solo Piano"; (small letters) "(P) & (C) 1977 IAI (R)"; and "Printed in the U.S.A.". Below hole are track titles and, at bottom: "(31210)". On side B, all is the same except, under track titles and above "(31210)": "Sun Ra / Enterplanetary Koncepts / BMI".

Condition of Record: VG++. Spindle wear on both sides (record played a few times; Ra is fun) but no marks or blemishes at all. Some factory-made smudges on B side. Plays perfectly well.
Condition of Cover: Front has ringwear, one crimp upper left, slight general wear. Artwork, text fine. Back has a few creases, ringwear; artist photo and text are fine. Spine text good, its corners worn (not bumped). Bottom corner, open end, bumped. Horizontal edges: top, slight shelfwear; bottom, more shelfwear.
I'm the original owner of the record. I have carefully kept it stored upright on a shelf, away from sunlight, in its original paper (plastic-lined) sleeve and cover.
I'm an independent seller divesting his own record collection. I'm not selling from a store or warehouse, with multiple copies of titles, or on behalf of a professional collector.
Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay amount as determined by destination, by shipping method he chooses, and by required insurance (see: below); I don't gouge the price to make more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)
Insurance is mandatory on shipments to US addresses: The final price of the item determines the amount of insurance required. Please wait till I inform you of your total cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.
**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express provides a return receipt. (Check USPS's website for shipping prices.) If you want a private-company shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction. First-Class-Package service, which doesn't include insurance, is an option; the shipping cost will be lower, but if your item doesn't arrive you have no recourse. The risk is yours.
Packing: The LP will be carefully placed in the standard cardboard LP box. If you want cardboard inserts for extra reinforcement, please say so.
Payment: Although Ebay now processes payments directly, I also accept Paypal. I accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.
Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.
