Description
Here we have a Sun Rockabilly original!
It’s TOMMY BLAKE and The Rhythm Rebels singing “Flat Foot Sam” and “Lordy Hoody” on an original 78rpm SUN 278.
It was recorded on 18th August 1957, and released shortly after.
This disc is in excellent- condition, and plays very well indeed.?
Like many Sun pressings of this era, it isn’t stamped 100% centrally, and one side “swings” everso slightly. It’s very hard to find any “late” US 78rpms that don’t do this, and it’s actually part of their charm!

Take a good look at the photographs.
The disc is in very shiny condition, with a faint storage mark.
To be fair to you, I’ve tried to photograph it in the most un-flattering light possible.
The disc is clean and gleaming and there is no groove wear.
I would conservatively describe it as excellent- although some unreliable villain at a record fair on a foggy day might rate it better.

I am just an old bloke thinning out his collection of 78rpm records before the floor collapses!

I apologise for the hefty mailing costs. I pack VERY carefully, in a firm cardboard sandwich with polystyrene peanuts etc.
It's very secure but quite expensive.
If you buy more than one record off me, I will GREATLY REDUCE THE POSTAGE ACCORDINGLY, so the more you buy.. the cheaper they become!
