Description
From my own collection that I'm down-sizing . . .
I bought this on release in 2001 and it's been with me ever since, barely played and just sitting on shelving. I got it by mail order which in those days meant it came in flimsy packaging so looking at the front of the sleeve there is a bit of crease/dint top right and bottom left corners, and the same on the back top left and bottom right. However apart from that the the sleeve is very good and it still has the hype sticker on the front bottom right.
The printed inners are fairly thin paper so there is a small amount of creasing and the start of a small slit on each of them on one side (left as you look at both lyric sides) but nothing serious.
Visually the only blemishes on the vinyl are Side D where there are three rubbing marks that I assume came from handling at the pressing plant. I imagine I will have played it a couple of times when I got it but I have the album on CD as well so I've listened to that. I've just put on small sections of each side on a good deck to check and . . . Disc 1 - plays very well, slight background crackle as Side B gets started but it's only just the usual you often get with vinyl. Disc 2 - Side C I've just remembered plays from inside to out and sounds great but remember to catch the arm at the end before it falls off! I've listened carefully to Side D to check those visual blemishes and there are just a couple of couple of clicks in the middle of Run Christian Run although they could be just from the pressing anyway, so the blemishes on Side D are really just cosmetic.
I've just realised there is also a white label 7" enclosed that has never been played. I've just taken it out and it actually looks like plain vinyl apart from on one side there looks like one single groove.
I look after my albums very well so the descriptions above are very detailed because it's a rare album, not because it's in poor condition. Overall you might be able to find another copy that's totally mint but this one is basically how it arrived with me - audio excellent, some minor cosmetic blemishes to sleeve and inners.
